Question

Where do your water systems ship from?

Question

Do I need a plumber to install Marigold?

Answer

We have a warehouse in Dallas, TX and one in Loretto, MN. All products are shipped direct to customers.

Answer

No, Marigold filters are moderately easy to install. Depending on your plumbing connections the tubes provided match most common sizes. Adapters are available at most hardware stores if your sizing is different. Marigold uses braided tubing rather than cheap poly “quick connects” that are prone to leaking. Watch our how-to video to see how you can easily install this filter yourself. However, if you are not familiar with plumbing fixtures, a licensed plumber will be able to help you.

Question

Can Marigold be connected to a refrigerator water or ice maker?

answer

A Marigold can be installed upstream of a refrigerator water system. The third port would need to be capped, turning the unit into a dead-end type design and losing the benefit of the unit. A Marigold is optimized for installing under a sink where you want both filtered and general use water taps.

question

Are reverse osmosis water filtrations systems better?

answer

RO is a great system in isolated laboratory use where water quality is constantly monitored. But a Marigold system is more reliable and doesn't come with the flat taste or personal and global costs. Holistically, RO is not ideally suited for drinking water use.

question

Can I use my Marigold on biologically contaminated water?

answer

No, Marigold is not intended for biologically contaminated water. Marigold will help prevent the growth of bacterial slimes inside the water system by keeping the water from stagnating. No consumer water system can 100% of the time remove all biologicals from the water. Immune suppressed people should not rely on any water filter to do this.

question

Does Marigold remove chemicals?

answer

Yes, Marigold uses carbon to adsorb Chlorine and other chemicals that cause bad taste and smelly water, while leaving the healthy minerals that make your water taste good. Fluoride and other minute chemicals can be eliminated with an optional filter cartridge, not yet available.
